AI visibility

Get found where people are actually asking now.

ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews answer your customers' questions before they ever see a list of links. I make sure the answer includes you.

    The problem

Being on page one stopped being the finish line.

An AI answer names two or three businesses. Everyone else is invisible, however well they rank.

    AI crawlers can't run JavaScript

GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and OAI-SearchBot fetch raw HTML and read what is there. On a client-rendered site that is an empty page — no heading, no copy, nothing to cite.

Your content isn't built for retrieval

Pages written for keyword density do not answer questions cleanly. Retrieval rewards a direct answer near the question, structured so a model can lift it without guessing.

You have no idea whether you are cited

Rank trackers do not watch AI answers. Most businesses cannot say whether ChatGPT has ever named them, so they cannot tell whether anything they change is working.

    What I actually do

Six things, in the order that moves the needle

    Crawler access and rendering audit

What every major AI crawler actually receives from your server, tested without JavaScript.

    Structured data and schema architecture

The machine-readable description of your business, your services, your prices and your answers.

    Content built for retrieval

Rewritten so an AI system can extract a correct, attributable answer — not just rank for a phrase.

Crawler policy, and an honest read on llms.txt

A robots.txt that does what you think it does, checked token by token. Then llms.txt: I will set one up, and I will also tell you the truth about it. Three independent studies found no measurable effect on citations, and one found that removing it improved their prediction model. It costs an hour and it is not what gets you cited.

    Citation tracking

A baseline and a repeat measure across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and AI Overviews, so progress is observable.

    Machine-readable data layer

Where it applies — an API or MCP server so agents can query your business directly instead of scraping prose.

    Honest version

This is not SEO with a new name.

Most firms selling AI visibility are SEO agencies that renamed a services page last year. They will rewrite your content, add some FAQ schema, and report on rankings that no longer decide who gets recommended.

The content work matters and I do it. But the durable advantage is underneath it: a business whose data an AI can query directly does not compete on wording at all. I have built that — an open MCP server over an entire country's property market. That is the part an SEO shop cannot follow you into.

    Questions

    Common questions

    Does this actually work?

The mechanical part is not in doubt: if AI crawlers receive an empty page, you cannot be cited, and fixing that is measurable within days. The content and structured-data work is more like traditional SEO — directional, compounding over weeks. I will tell you which bucket your situation is in on the call.

    How is it measured?

Two ways. First, what crawlers receive — verifiable immediately and objectively. Second, a citation baseline: a fixed set of questions asked across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and AI Overviews before and after, so you can see whether you started appearing.

How long until I see results?

Crawlability changes are immediate — the next crawl sees a different site. Citation changes follow re-indexing, which realistically means weeks, not days. Anyone promising faster is guessing.

Do I need to rebuild my whole site?

Usually not. Rendering, schema and crawler policy can almost always be fixed on the site you already have. A rebuild only comes up when the platform itself cannot emit server-rendered HTML.
